Supporting our Trekking Staff Through the Pandemic

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has donated to our staff around the world. So far we have been able to send USD $32,680 to Nepal, Kilimanjaro crew and Inca Trail staff. Secondly, you have also help raise over $3,200 for projects at the Mount Everest School along with, 12 new child sponsors. If you are interested in sponsoring a child learn more. Supporting our Team in Nepal.

In total $15,000 has been sent to Nepal and spread across 50 staff members in support of paying their rent and putting food on the table. Nepal has had to manage some series lockdowns. While Kilimanjaro has remained open Nepal really hasn’t managed to keep virus at bay and with a lot of miss information and no government support this is a very challenging time. Our staff are keeping well and grateful for your support.   We are hopeful we can return to run some trips in the pre-monsoon season in 2021. The Kilimanjaro Dream Team

We have sent $11,680 to our team in Arusha. Kilimanjaro’s Number 1 Guide is making sure our team are training hard and keeping a positive outlook for the year ahead. We have been able to run a number of small trips to Kilimanjaro over the past few months and start to ramp up again in December, January and February. We have over 20 trips planned to Kilimanjaro in 2021 70% of normal but we will have to build back better. If you would like to donate to team of 45 staff in Arusha you can Donate here.

Our Team in Peru

Our head guide Percy contracted Covid-19 during the summer. He has recovered and keen to get back to work in 2021. We have sent $6,000 to our team in Peru. We are trying to work with a company in the US who are keen to build homes, and community projects in remote areas in Peru. Our goal is for our team to in Peru to benefit for this development over the coming years.
