Additional expenses you will incur for Inca Trail Treks

This will vary greatly on your itinerary, inclusions and exclusions in your specific trip. Here is an idea of some additional expenses you will and may incur while in Cusco and while in Peru for your Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu.

Visa Entry: NONE
Meals and water in Cusco/ Aguas Calientes: $100 Approx
Tips given at the end of the trek:  $150
Water on the trail: $20 Approx (sometimes nothing)
Internet: NONE
Battery Charging: NONE
Boiled water for your hot water bottle: No charge for this
Souvenirs: At your own discretion
Specialty drinks along the trail: $2 to $5 ( sometimes nothing)

There can be no additional expenses on the trail

You should use water purification tablets in the 4/5 liters of water you will be drinking each day. Our staff will provide you with water each day on the trail. You can buy water and soft drinks in random places along the trail to Machu Picchu.
You may chose to buy some bottled water/ food/ alcoholic drinks in Aguas Calientes as you will be spending an additional night there on our 5 day Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu.  The price of bottled water will range from $1 to $3 per liter.
