The best route to Climb Kilimanjaro is the Lemosho Route. In our opinion the Lemosho route is the best, most scenic and route that has the best acclimatization or a safe, enjoyable and successful ascent of Kilimanjaro.
Here’s why. We have led over 220 Kilimanjaro climb over the last 12 years. We have climbed Kilimanjaro in 5 days, 6 days, 7 days, 8 days and 9 days. We have climbed on all routes and in all weather conditions and we have come to the conclusion that the Lemosho route gives the best overall experience on the mountain. We have the experience on Kilimanjaro
We believe in experience, learning and safety. The lemosho route has it all. In terms of daily distances, time hiking and the best acclimatization the Lemosho route give you a real sense of adventure. Although they are building a new road along the west side of Kilimanjaro you still have to cross rugged terrain on a 3 hour off road challenge to reach the Londrossi gate. Real adventure not just driving up to an over crowded gate full of tourist. Check a wealth of information on climbing Kilimanjaro.
The Lemosho route is better than the Machame route
The Lemosho route has less people until it meets up to the Machame route on day 4. This Lemosho route gives you the best hiking days. Short day, then a longer day. An easier and stunning day enjoying the Shira Plateau. You then have a long acclimatization day, then a fun scrambling day and it is short. On Day 6 we have a short day to give you more acclimatization along with an easier day before embarking on the long summit night to Uhuru peak. On day 8 we have a nice 3 hour hike down to the Mweka gate where and then back to our hotel in Arusha. CONTACT US
We have brought thousands of people to Kilimanjaro
After watching thousands of people safely reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro I can honestly say people get the best and safest experience with a minimum of 8 days on the Lemosho route. We know that more acclimatization means before safety, we know enjoyment on the mountain and enjoying the journey is just as important, if not more so than standing on the summit. We know that breaking up the days and have easier and longer days helps you recover better, helps are staff carrying all the loads have an easier time going up and down the mountain and they get paid more for being on the mountain longer.
