Thank you Thank you Thank you .
If I say I had the trip of my life time, that would be putting it in words mildly. This trip was everything that I imagined in my wildest imaginations/dreams and some more.
Choosing Ian Taylor Trekking Team (I3T) to guide us through this endeavor was one of the best decisions. I can’t take any credit for it because I considered and accepted Hari’s endorsement.
To me Laura you are the I3T team. I say that because you were my one stop contact for everything. Your guidance, support, promptness in responding to my mostly novice queries is one of key elements of this success. And for that and everything else I convey my gratitude to you from the bottom of my heart. Needless to say if ever I plan another excursion like this you will be my go to team.
The I3T team in Kathmandu; Dawa and Sonam seems to have a magic wand under their sleeves. They arranged/organized everything that we desired within no time and were there for us every step of the way. Heartfelt thanks to both Dawa and Sonam for their continued help and support.
Pasang, Tendi, Dilip and Chander, the phrase “SERVICE WITH A SMILE ” defines them.
We did not spend as much time with Dilip and Chander because they are sprinters. They would generally start after us and would reach the desired stop before us. Because of them we always had our duffle bags waiting for us in the room when we arrived. Both Dilip and Chander are sweethearts. Appreciation for both of them and I wish them happiness, health and success forever.
Pasang Dada as I generally called him. Dada is a term for an elder brother in Hindi, although he is younger than me in age. Pasang truly acted as an elder brother whose main goal for us was to enjoy and succeed in our effort. He wore different hats and changed them as needed. In addition to our associate he was also a mentor, entertainer, team physician and nutritionist. His guidance and backings is another key element of our success. Thank you PASANG DADA for your wittiness and morale boost that made this trip fun and frolics. And one last announcement for DADA “BHOOL NA JANNA” which means please don’t forget us ever. Please share this with him and I am sure this will put a smile on his face.
Tandy is a man of few words but his dedication and thoughtful preparations day after day was another key element of our accomplishment. Tandy somehow knew that we were having difficulty on climbing or descending and would always strategically place himself at a position where he could lend us his support. I remember his support during the first hour of Kala Patthar descending not just made it safe, but also faster. Tendi also thanks for taking several pictures from multiple cameras and help us share our experiences with friends and family. SMILE TENDI SMILE .
In summary THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING OUR DREAM OF REACHING EBC A REALITY.
Regards and Gratitude.
