Effective Date: August 6, 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the general refund and cancellation rules that apply to purchases made through Ian Taylor Trekking, LLC (“Ian Taylor Trekking,” “ITT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Different rules may apply to ITT trips, expeditions, online programs, and other products or services. Where separate trip-specific or product-specific terms apply, those terms control.
1. Trek-Ready and Other Online Products
Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, purchases of immediately accessible digital or online products are generally non-refundable once access has been provided.
This includes the Trek-Ready: 12-Week Trek Training Program.
Trek-Ready is delivered through an online Ian Taylor Trekking account and provides access to the Program following a qualifying purchase.
Because access to the Program is made available after purchase, ITT does not generally provide refunds because a purchaser:
- changes their mind;
- decides not to use the Program;
- does not begin or complete the Program;
- changes or cancels a planned trek;
- does not obtain a desired training or fitness result;
- later decides that the Program is not suitable for their preferences; or
- fails to make use of available Program access.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or consumer right that applicable law does not permit ITT to waive.
2. Genuine Transaction or Access Problems
ITT will reasonably address genuine transaction or delivery problems.
Examples may include:
- a duplicate charge;
- an incorrect charge;
- a payment-processing error;
- a material technical problem that prevents the purchaser from receiving the access purchased; or
- another obvious transaction error.
Depending on the circumstances, ITT may:
- correct the transaction;
- restore or correct access;
- issue a partial refund;
- issue a full refund; or
- take another reasonable action to resolve the problem.
3. Refunds and Trek-Ready Program Access
A financial refund and Trek-Ready Program access are separate administrative matters.
ITT may, when appropriate, provide a partial or full refund while allowing Trek-Ready access to remain active.
Program access may be revoked where appropriate, including when:
- the qualifying order is cancelled;
- a purchase was fraudulent;
- the account or Program is being abused;
- Program access or credentials are shared contrary to the Terms;
- Program content is being distributed without authorization; or
- another material violation of the Terms occurs.
A refund does not automatically require ITT to revoke Program access, and retention of Program access does not create a right to a refund.
4. Booked-Client Discounts
Eligible booked Ian Taylor Trekking clients may receive discounted access to Trek-Ready.
Booked-client discount codes may be personal, limited to one use, restricted to a particular email address, and limited to Trek-Ready.
Failure to use an available booked-client discount before completing a full-price purchase does not automatically create a right to a retroactive refund, credit, or price adjustment.
ITT may choose to correct an obvious mistake or provide an adjustment as a customer-service exception when appropriate.
5. Promotional Codes and Discounts
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- discounts have no cash value;
- discounts may not be transferred or sold;
- discounts may not be combined;
- discounts do not create an entitlement to a cash refund; and
- ITT may invalidate a code issued or used in error, fraudulently, or contrary to its intended purpose.
A later promotion or price change does not automatically entitle an earlier purchaser to a refund of the difference.
6. Payment Failures and Cancelled Orders
If a payment is unsuccessful, declined, cancelled, or otherwise not completed, the order may not qualify for access to the purchased product or service.
ITT may cancel orders affected by:
- failed payment;
- suspected fraud;
- unauthorized payment use;
- pricing or technical errors; or
- other legitimate transaction issues.
If money was collected in connection with an order that ITT subsequently determines should not have been completed, ITT will take reasonable steps to correct the transaction.
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect or you are experiencing a genuine billing or access problem, please contact ITT so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Fraudulent or abusive payment disputes or chargebacks may result in suspension or revocation of access to ITT products or accounts.
This provision does not prevent you from exercising any legitimate payment-dispute or consumer right available under applicable law.
8. Trip Bookings, Deposits, and Cancellations
This general Refund & Cancellation Policy does not replace the cancellation, refund, deposit, transfer, insurance, or payment terms that apply to an Ian Taylor Trekking trip or expedition.
Trip bookings may be governed by separate documentation concerning:
- deposits;
- payment schedules;
- cancellations;
- transfers;
- refund eligibility;
- travel insurance;
- changes to itinerary or departure;
- participant withdrawal; and
- other trip-specific circumstances.
Where trip-specific documentation applies, those terms control the relevant trip booking.
Purchasing Trek-Ready does not itself book, cancel, modify, or otherwise affect an ITT trip reservation.
9. Trip Cancellation or Change Does Not Automatically Cancel Trek-Ready
Trek-Ready is a separate online product from an ITT trip booking.
If you cancel, postpone, transfer, or change a trek, your Trek-Ready purchase does not automatically become refundable and your Program access does not automatically end.
Similarly, a change in Trek-Ready access does not by itself alter any trip booking or trip-related payment obligation.
10. Program Changes and Technical Availability
ITT may update, reorganize, improve, or modify Trek-Ready over time.
Changes to Program content, exercises, layouts, technology, or support tools do not by themselves create a right to a refund, provided ITT continues to provide the purchased Program in a materially reasonable form.
Temporary interruptions caused by maintenance, hosting problems, software updates, third-party outages, or other ordinary technical issues do not generally create a right to a refund.
If a material technical failure prevents a purchaser from receiving the access purchased and ITT cannot reasonably correct the problem, ITT will determine an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances.
11. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy or ITT’s Terms of Use & Conditions of Sale excludes, restricts, or limits a refund, cancellation, warranty, payment-dispute, or other consumer right that applicable law does not permit ITT to waive.
Where applicable law grants a consumer a mandatory right that conflicts with this policy, the applicable legal requirement controls.
