On the Way to Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro 50 Times

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro 50 times is my new goal. I usually climb Kilimanjaro 3 or 4 times a year above all, I want to highlight the work of Fields of Life. As part of our Mount Everest climb in 2008 we took on a charity element.  The best decision we made was to partner with Fields of Life to build the Mount Everest Primary School in Uganda.  This relationship with Fields of Life has continued over the last decade. Fields of Life are doing amazing work across East Africa.

The Mount Everest Primary School in Uganda

We hope you enjoyed watching our video filmed at the Mount Everest primary school in Kitandwe Uganda. I played a very small part in making sure the school was built. Fields of Life have led the way in developing this region of Uganda. They have changed thousands of children’s lives across Uganda and East Africa since 1993. Fields of Life started in Ireland and branched out to the UK and the US over the past 25 years.

Supporting a Great Charity

I serve as President to the US board for Fields of Life and indeed,  stand over the standards and financial responsibility of the organisation. I know the money is going directly to the projects.  The heart of the organisation is all about sharing love and hope for all. One of my fondest memories working with a Fields of Life team undoubtedly, was on Kilimanjaro.  They raised over $35,000 for water projects in Uganda, venturing to Africa’s highest peak.

At the same time, you can learn more about our work in Nepal. We have build schools in Nepal and help place stoves in homes across the lower khumbu region of Nepal.
