Ian will be interviewed live at the Dole Institute of Politics in Lawrence Kansas
The director of the Institute Bill Lacy will interview Ian about his successful ascent of Mt. Everest and his work with charity Fields of Life. Ian climbed Everest after being told by two professional that he wasn’t the right material for Everest in 2008. Ian and friend Graham Kinch raised $100,000 to build the school in Uganda. The school was a bamboo shack in the village of Kitandwe, Uganda, with 80 children. The new school has 7 class rooms, qualified teachers and now has 240 students.
Ian has gone on to set up his own trekking company Ian Taylor Trekking, leading groups and individuals to achieve their dreams in world’s mountain ranges.
Ian is delighted to be welcomed to the University of Kansas. Ian speaks in Kansas to raise awareness of the work of Fields of Life in Uganda. You can e-mail ian@iantaylortrekking.com and reserve your seat for this one off FREE event in Lawrence, Kansas.
