Less Than 60% of People Make it to the Summit !!
Unfortunately, the overall success rates on Kilimanjaro are shocking low! There are a few reasons for this. The first and main reason that people do not make the summit is because of the lack of acclimatization.
People try and go too fast up the mountain! Kilimanjaro summit sits at 5,895m/ 19,340 feet above sea level. That is bringing you into extreme altitude. You must give the mountain the respect it deserves and give your body the time it needs to properly acclimate to the lack of oxygen up there.
If you do not take the time your body needs to reach these heights it can be a potentially very dangerous place for you, your team and your guides. Ian Taylor Trekking will make sure you are given all of the right tools to safely and successfully reach your goal.
