The beauty of Mera Peak is it stands alone on wide open to some of the best mountain views anywhere in the world. The down side is the exposed mountain top can leave you open to some high winds. I have been to Mera peak many times. On one climb at 6,200m/ 20,341 feet in 2016 we were hit with 80 mile an hour winds. We couldn’t stand up, hear anything and it took up 30 minutes just to be able to retreat a few hundred meters down the mountain.
