|The Langtang valley is called -the valley of glaciers’, where mountain rise, soaring towards the sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks and meadows strewn with daisies and wild flowers. A variety of sights including monasteries, a cheese factory, yaks, glaciers and mountain lakes all of which await you in this exciting region. THIS TREK HAS BEEN SUSPENDED and hope to be back operating in 2016/2017.|
A little bit more about the climb
You will visit Gosainkunda, one of the holiest lakes in Nepal, where thousands pilgrim to each August to bathe in its cold and spiritually refreshing water. One hour drive brings you to Sundarijal, the starting point of this trek, where there are sparkling waterfalls flowing down through an oak forest. This trek gives you a golden chance to learn about life in typical Sherpa villages.

Arrive Kathmandu Airport. You will be met by our team on the ground and transferred to your hotel in the Thamel district of Kathmandu.
Up early for a half day sightseeing tour in the Kathmandu valley and then pick up any last minute gear needed for the trek.
Kathmandu to Syabru Besi, by local bus. This is roughly a nine hour journey, driving through small towns and villages.
Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (6-7 hours). This is a nice walk along the river, passing small tea houses before walking through forest.
Lama Hotel to Langtang (5-6 hours). We have a short climb today, through forest, before the valley opens up ahead of us. Views of Langtang Lirung Peak can be seen from here.
Langtang to Kyangjing Gompa (3 hours). There is a cheese factory and a 400 year old Gompa that are worth visiting. In clear weather, the panoramic views of the mountains are spectacular. We can also walk up Kyangjing Ri, which also affords excellent mountain views.
Kyanjing Gompa to Lama Hotel (6-7 hours).
Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi (5- 6 hours).
Early rise for bus back to Kathmandu.
Free day Kathmandu, evening meal and culture show.
Transfer to Kathmandu Airport.
